Andy is based in Los Angeles, California and Minneapolis, Minnesota.  You can catch him in Minneapolis in December onstage at the State Theater puppeteering for “Mystery Science Theater 3000 Live”, for one night only at the Brave New Workshop in the MainStage show, “Angels We Have Heard Are High (O Holy Crap)” and all month long at the Bryant Lake Bowl Theater for the 7th year of the holiday favorite, “A Very Die Hard Christmas”.  Recently, Andy wrote for the second season of the Walt Disney Television Animation show, Pickle and Peanut, which premiered on October 23rd on Disney XD.

Television and Film:
Andy has done extensive work in commercial, voice-over, television and film and is a proud member of SAG-AFTRA.  Most recently, he wrapped principle photography on three projects.  First, he worked as head puppeteer on a new upcoming marketing campaign called, K is for Kids, for Netflix Studios.  The second was a dark comedic feature film, Jackalope, where he played Kelp, a man who was trapped in a hunger games type situation and decides to just try to live happily.  The third was the feature film, Here There Be Monsters, where Andy puppeteered one of the films lead characters, a lovable, hairy, seven foot tall monster named, Maurice.  

You can also see him on the small screen where he has appeared in the new Netflix Original comedy series, Lady Dynamite, where he plays Nurse Max or every Saturday morning where Andy stars on the nationally syndicated children’s television show, M@dabout.   In addition,  you may also catch Andy with 2016 Super Bowl MVP, Von Miller where they appear in numerous commercials as the face of Best Buy's GEEK SQUAD.  When not acting on the small screen, Andy freelance writes for Disney Television Animation.

Andy is an accomplished theater artist both locally in Minnesota and internationally. He has worked with many companies including; Old Log Theater, Workhaus Collective, The Pillsbury House Theater, Yellow Tree Theatre, The Walker Art Center, Four Humors Theater, Shakespeare and Company, The National Theater for Children, CLIMB Theater, Comedy Suitcase and Actor’s Theatre of Minnesota.  He has also studied and performed Improv and Sketch on the stages of notable comedy theaters including; The Upright Citizens Brigade L.A., Second City Chicago, The Brave New Workshop and HUGE Theater in Minneapolis, MN.

He is also one of the two producers of the theater company, Mainly Me Productions, where he has co-created, co-written and performed in, Our Freaking Kids Show, Jenga, and Class of 98, among many others.  The company's most recent show, The Wright Brothers,  was one of the top selling comedies of the 2017 Minnesota Fringe Festival.   You can catch Mainly Me Production's yearly seasonal sellout show, A Very Die Hard Christmas, every weekend each December at the Bryant Lake Bowl Theater in Minneapolis, MN. 


Andy has worked with puppetry on stage and film in the US and abroad for over 10 years.  

He has performed Marionette and Bunraku puppetry at Panma Chiro Teatro in Tokyo, Japan.  Andy has also worked with the award winning Open Eye Figure Theatre as a puppeteer, writer, director and creator of puppet shows for over 9 years.  The first touring show he created for Open Eye, The Amazing Cowboat,  was seen by over 50,000 adults and children and was featured in American Theater Magazine.  You can catch The Amazing Cowboat this summer in backyards all over the Twin Cities.  Andy has also worked as the Puppet Consultant for The Cat in the Hat at the Regional Tony Award winning Childrens Theater Company.


Abroad Andy has worked in Tokyo, Japan teaching improvisation and acting technique at the Tokyo International school.  He also taught in Guanajuato, Mexico at an english language school helping children learn English through theater.
When not performing or writing, Andy enjoys hanging out with his amazing wife, Rachael and obsessing over their dog, Scout.
